Favorite/home Mountain:
Homewood, Alpine, Kirkwood, Heavenly, and Sqawllywood!

Best place you have ever ridden?

Waist Deep on Quail Face, last winter, I was patrolling alone out there. It’s a place you have to hike into and out of, but its one place in Tahoe you’ll get fresh turns in long after everything gets tracked out. The feeling of gliding over soft untouched clean white snow is smooth and quiet. It was a bluebird day and the lake was calm and deep dark blue, the sun was out and I was the happiest I’d been in a long time. Those are the days I live for.

Hard pack or powder? POWDER no question!

What is the furthest destination you have ever traveled to for riding?

When I was a little girl my family traveled on a lot of road trips to ski in Idaho, Utah, and Colorado. In recent years I’ve spent most of my winters in northern California, riding at all the Mts. in Lake Tahoe.

Do you have some career riding accomplishments or highlights you want to share?

Ever since I was young I wanted to be a Ski Patroller. Last winter my dream became a reality in beautiful Lake Tahoe. I was a patroller at Homewood, a small resort on the west shore, also one of the few mountains that permit patrollers to snowboard! I had so much fun riding every day in all kinds of conditions.

Describe your favorite or current board:

I have had lots of different equipment over the years by many manufacturers and I personally feel that RIDE makes the best quality stuff for your money. BURTON makes some really nice boards like the Custom X, but everyone I know who bought those bindings with the toe caps broke. I think DC and THIRTYTWO make the best boots because they are shoe companies. Other companies that make good equipment are LIB TEC boards and K2 bindings.

I’m Riding a RIDE Kashmir 153, K2 Women’s pro series bindings, and DC boots.
I Ski on VOCKL Queen Ativas with SOLOMAN bindings and (leaky) LANG boots.

Do have any boards available for reripping?

I have two extra boards I’d be willing to sell: A small 145 soft park board that is 6 years old but in good shape, perfect for a small girl.
A stiffer Ride vista 150, 3 years old that has some core shots, with some older ride LX bindings.

Other hobbies or interests?

ART, Surfing, Mountain biking, Yoga, Camping, Giggling.

Who is the Rider you admire most?

Any person who gets paid to go riding everyday in awesome locations, perfect conditions, with new gear, and good friends is a rider I admire most.

Why? Because that is what I imagine heaven is.

Person you admire most? My Parents; Gayle and Ray

Why?

Because they taught me that I am strong and smart enough to do anything, to love the outdoors, and have always supported my dreams.

If you could have a session alone with one person at your favorite spot, who would it be?

My Sister Julie

Why?

Julie is my favorite person to go riding with because we always push each other to go faster, try new tricks, and critique style. We always have a really fun time no matter what we do together.

Julie and I started skiing at age 3 and skied our first black diamond at age 6! I started snowboarding at 14 (it was what I wanted to do for my birthday that year) we progressed pretty quickly at riding because of our backgrounds in skiing. I hadn’t skied in 10 years until this winter; it was so much fun I bought skis! (my dad is stoked)

Any life philosophy or words of wisdom you would like to share?

AS I BREATH, I HOPE, AND I TRY.
This is how I would best describe my life, I am constantly dreaming of a beautiful future and I try my best to make it happen. I have accomplished so much and I have grown in so many ways. I’ve worked hard to be a good Lifeguard, taught myself to surf, ran a full marathon, got an EMT, become a ski patroller, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, had two solo shows, and been accepted to Graduate school. All I can hope for is a life of happiness and adventure and I will
